A busy week with some nice catch's despite the stormy weather. My week started with Mark Purisch and Norm Statter both of the Washington DC area fishing two full days in the C-100 and C-8 canals and they caught 51 peacock bass up to 5 pounds, 1 snook, 1 red Midas and 1 largemouth bass using Road Runner Jigs and floating Rapalas. The next four days Carl Hochrein of Pembroke Pines, Florida and his son CP of Sunrise, Florida fished in Lake Istokpoga, Lake Okeechobee and the L-31 canal where we caught 86 largemouth bass up to 6.25 pounds, 1 peacock bass, 12 Mayan cichlids, 2 Jaguar Gaupotes and one grass carp on Rage Frogs, Flappin Shads, Ribbon tailed worms, Pop R's and Floating Rapalas. My last day was with Lance Benson of Miami, Florida and Ed Connell of Pompano Beach, Florida fishing a half day in the C-8 canal and they caught 8 peacock bass, 1 Jaguar Gaupote, 2 Mayan cichlids, 1 clown knifefish and 1 largemouth bass on X-Raps. Hoping for some better weather this week!
