Fishing this past week continues to be awesome. With the new moon tides flushing plenty of water in and out of the bays the fish have been feeding. Redfish continue to be the target species right now and they are abundant. Most of the redfish we're keeping right now are in the 22-26 inch range, with the occasional over slot fish. We're throwing back lots of 18-20 inch reds, feeling confident right now in the fact we're going to get the bigger fish for the cooler. Big trout are also loaded up in our bay also with a big trout this week coming in at 24 ½ inches. This past week our best success was on whitebait with cut bait running a close second. Flounder, ladyfish , Spanish mackerel and an occasional small mangrove snapper have also been pulled in at the end of our lines this week.
