Does Barometric Pressure Effect the Bite?

Fishing in this past week produced a variety of species on the deeper grass flats near the passes in Sarasota Bay.

Bob Spicer and his sons Blake and Chase from Cincinatti, Ohio fished with me on Sunday. While fishing the deeper flats near New Pass and Stephen's Point in Sarasota, we caught and released spotted seatrout, spanish mackeral, flounder and ladyfish using DOA shadtail jigs in Green and Glow/Goldrush colors.

Sarasota resident Josh Hund joined me for a night snook-fishing trip Tuesday night. We fished the docks and bridge fender lights in the ICW near Venice Inlet in Venice, FL. where we caught and released bluefish, ladyfish and an "Inshore Slam" consisting of snook, spotted seatrout and redfish using Grassett's Snook Minnow fly pattern and DOA Shadtail jigs in Glow/Holo Flk color.
