yes it is. Ive been there once and caught a redfish and a gag grouper under one of those little bridges. This is Capt Rieumonts stomping grounds, he should chime in.

From Fred Howard north you can keep 2 reds now. Not sure if you keep fish but I certainly do.

Fred Howard can be quite productive, good wade fishing.

hes been busy working "behind the scenes", and on a constant diet of eating 1 banana, 1 apple and 2 cans of tuna straight outta the can with a plastic fork.....regardless if hes on his couch, at TFO, or in line at the bank

Try fishing amongst all the crab traps you will see West/SW of the park in the area where it starts to get deeper - in the 5-6 foot range.

I tried the north side yesterday for a few hours later in the day. I hooked into two ladyfish using a NBJ and a mirrodine. The person next to me caught a trout and I saw a shark in the distance. I'll be back some day

I'll definitely look there. My sister wants me to babysit her dogs on friday so before then I'll try that area in the day time. I'm excited to try out my new Lil John's and some Pro-Cure along with my free NBJ I got due to this Forum :) I'll let you guys know how it goes

I've been catching alot of fish w/ Lil John's lately - rootbeer. Mostly smaller trout but that's not the bait's fault. Last time I was up at Fred Howard was with Todd (gfc) and Bryan (crabtrap) a few weeks ago. We got into a school of macks that were going crazy for the NBJ's. 2,3,4 others following the hooked fish to the boat trying to steal it. I think we caught about 13 in 45 minutes including a few that were decent size.

There's plenty of fish all around that area - you just have to find them sometimes. You can also try fishing the flats north of the park - plenty of trout usually -but again - you want to be a ways west of the eastern shore in deeper water - 4-5 foot range.

I won't have access to a boat so I'll be fishing from the shore. Hopefully I do just as well. I saw someone catch a keeper trout and had some ladys dehooked at my legs on the eastern side.
