Where would target snook at the Fort. Passes? Flats? Beach shore line? Brigdes? Mangroves?

All of the above under diff weather conditions-beaches in the summer-bridges on cooler nights- mangroves on higher tides. When fishing a new area start a fishing log note water temp-tides-bait-weather conditions- how you fished the spots and what your results where-after a while you can figure out what worked best for your way of fishing.

I've seen huge pods of snook around this island:

And I've heard they stage up at this pass too (Bunce's Pass)

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of that which is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. -Anonymous

John, call me 727-204-9723. Leave a message if I am at a meeting. I add to what 18HXP said and DavidT. I would type it here but it would take me to long. Slow at it.

18HXP statement below is like Gold!!!!!!!!!

"When fishing a new area start a fishing log note water temp-tides-bait-weather conditions- how you fished the spots and what your results where-after a while you can figure out what worked best for your way of fishing."

I might go to a very cool fishing site I know about. On the site they have tabs at the top that say "How to Fish", "When to Fish", and "Where to Fish".

If you dig into the "Where to Fish" tab, you will find something we call "FishySpot" maps. In that incredibly detailed (and RAPIDLY GROWING!!!!) Library of where to try fishing, you will find a very, very detailed map about the Fort.

I would fish the beaches right now. Especially the ones on the Saint Pete side.

The history of the Fort is very interesting. You might not know that a Navy man named Robert E. Lee was the first Westerner to actually map the keys where the fort is. (And Tarpon and Cow&Calf and the other ones, too).
