I am going to work on the RSVP form for this. It is on May 17th, so I have taken WAY TOO LONG to get this up here. That said, we WAY overfilled David's recent class on Bait 101, and Vance's session next week is SURE to be as wonderful as David's and will deliver the next level of education in TheOnlineFisherman.com educational series. Like the BBQ and Bait 101, we are getting incredible response.



WE ARE LIMITING SEATING FOR THIS SESSION TO 65 Individuals, so start marking your intentions here, and as soon as we get the RSVP tool working for the show we will let you actually register.

This is a MUST attend, and will be offering special numbers (!!!!) at two different levels depending on a number of factors. I will say that if you want to find structure you will never find in a 1000 years on the water, make sure you get to this one.

I am going to put a new thread up here -- about our efforts to spread lifetimes of knowledge and experience among our anglers.

In two days, Captain Hubbard's boat is half filled. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING GOING, or intend to try your hand at grouper, snapper, amberjack, huge permit, 60lb cobia in pods, blackfin tuna (!?) and even the sailfish that are showing up in increasing numbers off our glorious and as-yet-still-free-to-fish coasts, going to Vance's session will be a good idea.

Vance is going to be giving away numbers. A number of inshore/nearshore numbers as well as four offshore numbers -- proven and not widely-known GPS numbers will be given for free.

For those people that stay the additional half-hour for our political conversation, and who are willing to help us fight the good fight, a total of 24 numbers will be provided. These are numbers from lifelong guides as well as our commercial friends that you will not find covered with boats.

Man it sure would be nice if these seminars could be recorded and uploaded to the website for those like myself that its
impossible to make it to the seminars. I'd think it would be a good draw to the website too. Maybe have a section for the classes on the website?

I took time off from work so I could make the first Tarpon clinic but I sure would like to be able to see these other seminars too but my CFO
AKA the ball and chain frowns upon taking off work to attend fishing clinics. Personally I think her priorities are TOTALLY SCREWED UP!

Recording the sessions is something we intended to start doing at David and Mike Cole's Bait-101.

I had no room to put up the camera equipment. I ended up sitting in a corner I could not get out of until David's seminar was over and the people started leaving. It's why it's important we RSVP all the sessions so we can count and keep room for crews.

That said, the Bait-101 session's contents are being prepared for an interactive slide show that will be available here on the site for registered (only) readers. Videos -- and a collection of how-to materials including interactive videos and animations -- are going to start being available to registered people only.

Classroom and on-water education is something we had on our list of deliverables the first day the site went public. Video delivery of content was also something we've seen from day one as being a critical growth element for our long-term success. So you all are going to be the first to see video production happening here. Vance's session will be taped, because there will be room. Ditto TommyZ's tarpon session, and all subsequent classes. The videos will be no replacement for actually being there, but they will help. And they'll be critical for national growth.
