I want to get some night time beach snook fishing in but I'm not a fan of driving to a beach only to find out there's no legal access after a certain time. Do you guys think we can get a list going of the beaches with 24hr legal access including parking and whether or not parking is free?

The only beach I know of for sure is Clearwater Beach and it's $2.75 an hour for parking till 1am after that I believe it's free.

I know Ft. Desto closes at sunset, and I believe Honeymoon Island does aswell.

You can get 24x7 access to Honeymoon if you buy an annual pass.

Or you can hook up with someone who has a pass already and a spare seat in their vehicle. *evil grin*

I am pretty sure you can fish mad beach or the entire strip of treasure island and saint Pete beach. Go just south of the Don Cesare. Walk that beach. I fish sign or no-sign' though and take the risk of being assailed by one of those Navy Seals typically serving as beach security,

Thanks for the help guys, I'm going out Wednesday night since the weather is going to be too crappy to bring out the kayak.

Gary's right (I think) about south of the Don Cesar. (Pass-a-Grille) That whole beach is meter parking on the main street so I would think beach access is permitted but I'm not positive.

Also at night you do not need to pay for the meter as after a certain time it's not necessary I believe it was 8pm. But don't hold me to that it might be a later time.
