I have ALWAYS fished shrimp, almost exclusively. I always figured it was common sense that you would do better with live bait that fish actually eat than something that mimicks something they eat. I had a few free hours this morning and everything that I looked at said today wasnt going to be a great day, tides wernt great, moon wasnt great, ect. So only having a few hours I decided to go to double branch and try artificals for the first time.
Turned out to be my best day ever. Not much quantity (only 2) but I was only out for maybe 2.5 hours. Beats catching 50 puffers.
