**NEW** Gag Grouper Commission Update:

Gulf: The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission adopted new management measures for Gulf of Mexico gag grouper at the February 2012 Commission meeting.
The following changes have been adopted:
setting the recreational open season from July 1 through Oct. 31 (except for state waters off of Franklin, Wakulla, Jefferson and Taylor counties including all waters of Apalachiocola Bay, Indian Pass and the Steinhatchee River.)
lowering the minimum commercial size limit from 24 inches to 22 inches total length

I'm sure it was an honest mistake with how screwy the regulations are, but it is out of season regardless of what the standard saltwater regulations page says. The above wording is the most recent gag grouper season.

HaleysKey OFFLINE Fresh Boarder Posts: 1 Karma: 0	nice report(s). been fishing off anclote/three rooker bar.. lots of reds in the mangroves visible in many spots. snook on the beaches. having a tougher time finding whitebait though. youre fishing farther south, but i used to have no problems getting them off anclote but lately it has become more difficult. time to look near markers/bridges
