Thanks guys. It was a fun day, but we struggled in the afternoon. It sure was hot. I can't recommend the Spook Jr. in bone more. It has great action and all fish seem to love it. I see many shows where that is what the guys fish with. It is deadly. The saltwater version now has a long feathery tail attached to the back hook. It completely messes up the action and I had to remove it. The hooks seem stouter but I have been using one that I had already replaced the hooks on. Definitely a must have lure for your tacklebox I believe.The Rip Tide Mullet in redfish is excellent too. They only offered the 3" version in that color, but very good on a 1/8 oz. jig head.

I am gonna have to take off the rear feathered hook on my bone spook jr., i have heard so much good stuff about this plug and havent caught anything on it... and let me tell you i have put some miles on it....really i have thrown the hell out of that thing. I am gonna change them tomorrow and give it another shot. I wouldn't have thought that the company would do something that would inhibit the action...wonder if they tested it and felt good about it, cause I know that the full size spook walks real well.hmmmm

I promise it will work a lot better without that feather. It was a pain to get that off too. Not sure why they added that. Why mess with a good thing? All they needed to do was put stouter hooks on the freshwater version and it would be good for both fresh and saltwater. Just a suggestion, but make sure your leader isn't too long when throwing the spook jr. That fluoro sinks and can make it tougher to walk the dog. I have also found that a rod with fast action works best. If you have a lot of play in your rod tip, it doesn't seem to work as well. I like the moderate action rods for throwing my jigs with. Just my .02.
