Things have been rather slow at the jetty for a couple of weeks, as the water has been dirty from the gale force westerly winds. A few fish have been caught each day, but multiple fish catching days were few and far between.
However, last week on Monday I managed to put 5 Mangos into my bucket, while releasing 14 Snook {from 16" to 24"}.
The next day, my victims were 19 Snook, two Mangos and one Trout.
I didn't take photos... everyone knows what they look like.
The next 5 or 6 days were a bust! Lucky to land one fish- AT ALL!
Sun. offshore, the four of us took home 6 Red Grouper and 8-10 Vermillion Snapper {which are fairly good, but not as good as Mangos}.
Mon, a different boat & 3 new anglers, plus me, put 5 Red Grouper into the fish box.
This am, at 6:45, just after daylight, the ol' gal in the photos nearly yanked me off my perch on a boulder 3 feet out in the water at the jetty!
I wasn't ready for it and was teetering for a second as I regained my balance. :@))
I used up all my tissues after I released her safely to the briny. LMAO :excited001:

P.S. Every day that goes by brings the Hubbard trip closer and closer! Can't wait!
