I took out my canoe yesterday to the flats around westshore. I have never fished this area before so this was all new.

I stared with a topwater swim/wake bait and a large topwater, I had some chases and hits but no hook ups, I finally found some trout and caught 4 from 15-20”.

As the sun got higher I switch to Koppers version of the mirrodine and instantly started getting hits and follows. Unfortunately they were small trout and lizard fish, however, I did hook something big next to a dock that came unhooked, I believe it was a red.
