:fishing: -fishin catching big bull reds up to 32 in from kayak in the mangrovves by the boat club. also catching 3ft bull sharks back to back on green back and finnger mullet also by the boat club early in the morning using poles ment for trout realy great fishing. and big black drum are in the area

:thumbsup: Cudo's to tarpon1999, I went wading out there to DI this morning (1hour) by the mangroves and ended up with this 21" Trout. Not much activity was around. It was caught on a CAL DOA new penny split tail 1/4oz jig(although the tail was bitten off a little earlier).
After that, I went to the usual point south of the airport and the bite was on. I first got a 13" trout with more hits, then 10" Mangrove snapper, with some lady fish and ended with this 13" snapper with more hits after that. I was only there for a half hour, but the winds really picked from the south with the storms. That snapper took my drag like a snook or a bid red, nothing like the 21" trout. I used that same CAL DOA until it was chewed to pieces. I guess not a bad morning, at least my rod was getting bent.
