Either of those dates would be fine and I agree...more time to get people interested

I think there are plenty interested to be quite honest. The issue here is that no set price had been determined and most will not commit without exact numbers or exact dates for that matter. I for one would love to go, just don't know if I can.

I will send an email to Mark following this post...

#1 I will shoot for anything (Sun-Tues & Tues-Thurs) during the ARS season... June 1 to roughly July 10...

#2 The other dates mentioned in and around the full moon...

#3 Mutton Snapper time...

I will post his response(s) about pricing and availability...

 Sounds good!
Once we set a date & get a firm price, we can better determine interest. In all probability, most people would prefer ARS season. Should have about 10 days in July with both ARS & gag grouper open. That would be the very best; however, probably very hard to find an open date. Anytime during gag season would be fine. As far as mutton snapper, we see very few of them. Targeted them a couple times last year. Did OK! Fished about 50 miles South of the Elbow, in 225 feet of water. Caught 40 on one trip.
Craig, a Florida Fisherman regular, caught this fine mutton:

My fine mutton:

This mutton was featured in an article I wrote for New Jersey's Big Game Fishing Journal:

I really like to catch gag grouper:

We are going to have a blast on this trip! Bob H.

I would really like to go on this trip! I need to know a date as soon as possible to see if I can schedule it in. I'd be coming from Indiana. Not trying to rush anyone but I think the sooner you have a date the more response will pick up. I sure hope I can make it! Thanks for trying to set this up! Freaky

Can't commit 100% yet, but I'm definitely interested. Kind of depends on how much money I can hide from the wife - LOL

Nothing could be more appropriate:

I started the ball rolling for the OnLineFisherman private charter during our Middle Grounds trip last weekend. The 'Extravaganza' was one of the best organized, educational, most fun, events I have ever attended. The sportsmen/women of this forum are special. We all heard Captain Hubbard talk. Fishing is his passion. Now! Together, with Captain Mark Hubbard, on the Florida Fisherman, would be a dream come true.
I would love to attend the Memorial. However, I will be attending another Celebration. My hunting Outfitter, Tiger Island, is sponsoring a free hunt honoring those who have given so much, so much that we, all of us, can be FREE. Our veterans, our heroes, our "Wounded warriors", will be, many from wheel-chairs, hunting hogs, enjoying a real Southern cookout, and live music. A Memorial honoring those who have set to sea, but never returned, and, a celebration honoring those who fought for freedom, and returned, returned as our, "Wounded warriors,"
Nothing could be more appropriate:
Thank you Hubbard's Marina; thank you Tiger Island Outfitters!

Guys, I believe the key word is "open" up the event to us on May 8th...

Sounds like we scored a date during ARS season!!!

I'm still confused. Is the trip the 8th? Is it middle grounds? And how much?

:wife-fishin Looks like reservations for the trip will be opened up May 8. Guess the trip will be sometime during ARS season. Let's all hope we have as good of a season as we did last year. I went every weekend last year. I easily caught my two day possession limit (4) on every trip.

We were lucky to secure a booking during ARS season. Even dates for private charters are hard to come by. On the regular Florida Fisherman 39 hour ARS season trips, spots are very limited.
June 1... 1 open spot
Tues. June 5... 2 open spots
June 8... 5 open spots
Even into July, trips are already sole out. Friday, July 6...sold out
Our trip should be something else. Suggest scheduling ASAP. Bob
