Captain Shawn supplies all angler's with top of the line fishing equipment from the support and sponsorship of some of the best companies in the fishing industry. He also offers angler's guided fishing trips on Hobie Pro Angler, hands free fishing kayaks along the coast of the Tampa Bay area. Mission Fishin also takes families on scallop & sight seeing trips. Captain Shawn Neurath was born and raised in Connecticut. Shawn's passion for fishing comes from a long family line of fishermen. Shawn has been fishing since he was old enough to hold a rod with his own two hands. During Shawn's time in Connecticut, Shawn spent most days fishing rivers, lakes and the Long Island sound. Shawn moved to the Florida Keys at the age of 19 where he continued to fish and expand his knowledge. Shawn used these opportunities to increase his proficiency in catching Tarpon, Snook and Bonefish. Captain Shawn then moved to the Tampa area and continued to improve on his already vast knowledge base. Captain Shawn was able to continue to increase his proficiency while mastering Snook, Red Fish, Trout, and Tarpon. Eventually his passion for fishing leads him into a more professional atmosphere as an angler. Captain Shawn is a USCG Licensed Captain as well as a respected fishing guide and a tournament proven angler in the Tampa Bay area .Being a professional Firefighter/Paramedic with a work schedule of 24on 48off gives Captain Shawn a lot of time off to be on the water. He is also a member in the Hobie Fishing team and a member of the Hard Core Kayak Club.
