If I were targeting those exact species -- snook, redfish and bass in brackish water ponds, the two lures that I would use that would give me the ability to catch all three would be:
- 1/8th to 1/4 oz. Spro Bucktail Jig in white, and another in a dark color like black with some gold.
- Bill Lewis Rattletrap 1/2 oz. in the colors of Gold Black-Back, Purple or Glow.
If I were to use live bait I would use a Creek Chub, Finger Mullet or Crayfish. They all work well.
Try it and let us know how you do. There should be some Tarpon in those brackish water ponds!
