Giveaway   Tides
A up and down week dealing with high water in many canals though we still did pretty darn good. My week started with John Gore and Marc Strand of Sorrento, Florida fishing a full day in the L-31 canal and they caught 35 largemouth bass up to 6 pounds and 22 peacock bass up to 5 pounds all on Baby Torpedoes. Next up Kenny and Karen Myers of Tennessee fished a half day in the C-8 canal and would catch 7 largemouth bass and 5 peacock bass on floating Rapalas and Baby Torpedoes. Next up Ted Sander of Cooper City, Florida and myself would catch 18 largemouth bass up to 3 pounds and 2 peacock bass and a few Mayan cichlids on floating Rapalas and Gambler Ribbon tailed worms in the L-30 canal while fishing only a half day. The next day Drew Gregg of Davie, Florida and myself would fish a half day in the L-31 canal and catch 22 largemouth bass up to 4 pounds and 6 peacock bass up to 2 pounds on Pop R's and floating Rapalas. The next day Carl Hochrein of Pembroke Pines, Florida and myself fished a full day in the L-30 canal and would catch 53 largemouth bass up to 4.5 pounds, 5 peacock bass and 4 Mayan cichlids on Pop R's, Chug Bugs, Flappin Shads and floating Rapalas. I finished the week with Scott and Elaine Banks with their 11 and 12 year olds sons fishing a half day in the C-4 canal and they caught 4 snook, 5 peacock bass and one largemouth bass all on floating Rapalas. A very short this week for me as I will be off to Brazil starting on Friday.
