Boaters Spread Invasive Species
Moving your boat from point A to point B can do a lot to spread - or protect from - invasive species.
This is a killer story that was originally written by a woman named Kristy Beyer, who is the Communications Director for the Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council. These people are dealing with a major issue about invasive species in the Great Lakes, and her story tells a lot about what to be aware of when you're in your boat.
The spread of invasive species is often directly related to boating activity and the story provides an excellent list of the dos and don't's of boating that will protect our waters the same way they will provide the Great Lakes.
