  1. I have been fishing with Hubbard's ever since the middle seventies. I see as many fish caught today as I did then. Only difference is we now have, out of necessity, much stricter rules. The problem is our fishery is being 'over-managed' to the extent that fish such as the very aggressive American red snapper are completely taking over the reefs at the expense of other species. As an example, many very productive mangrove snapper & gag grouper areas are home now to only red snapper. For our, or what was once our, fishery to survive, control through realistic management must be realized. Virtually NO red snapper season, with a possession limit of two fish, was, is, and will continue to, nothing short of a disaster for fish & fishermen alike. 2. Ed, and his partner, Dan, are two of the best of the best. If it can be caught, they can catch it. Ed catches most of his tuna, as well as huge kings & wahoo, while trolling in between stops. The Florida has mastered the art of trolling. Trolling has become so productive that the FF ll even has outriggers: [/url" rel="noopener" target="_blank">http://s644.photobucket.com/user/harbisonphoto/media/April%2013%20-%202018/15_zps14x8qs4b.jpg.html'> Ed and Dan form a well oiled team. In all, four deep drop trips are planned for 2018: 4/19, 5/17, 8/16, 11/1. Once you pass the 100 fathom mark the fish tend to be a 'little' different. 3. Florida Fisherman ll Fishes Friday the Thirteenth 6 A.M. Sunday morning, 4/6/18, the FF ll comes home with a mountain of fish: Next up: Will it be lucky Friday the thirteenth? Let's take a look. The night bite produces a variety: Saturday morning: Mr. John Martin, Florida Fisherman ll fishing coach, not only tells, but shows us how it's done: The elusive, hard to fool, hard to catch, mangrove snapper: Joe, well done sir: The ever so fun to catch, the hard fighting, extremely fast, blackfin tuna. The blackfin, found in the western Atlantic Ocean from Cape Cod to Brazil, as well as in our own Gulf of Mexico, is a short-lived, fast-growing species; a five year old would be considered old. They reach sexual maturity at the age of two years, and spawn in the open sea during the Summer: The very aggressive American red snapper are now so abundant that they are dominating many offshore reefs. Triggerfish are so much fun to catch, and even more fun to eat:

    Where Legends Live On

Captains' Wilson, Mark, and Dylan Hubbard are 'hands-on' Captains who love fishing as much as anyone could possibly love anything. Family will always come first, then fishing. Another Hubbard who has become a legend in his own time is Captain Garett Hubbard. [/url" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background: transparent; color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; text-decoration-line: none !important; padding: 0px 3px !important; margin: 0px -3px !important; border-radius: 5px !important;" target="_blank">http://s644.photobucket.com/user/harbisonphoto/media/Where%20Legends%20live%20On/9_zpshm3egm0n.jpg.html'> True to tradition, the only thing more important than fishing to young Captain Garett is family: Captains Frank, Anthony, and Joey are well on their way of becoming legends of the future. All began as deck hands and worked their way up to Captain. All are good, very good, at what they do best...put anglers on fish! Where Legends Live On

No where on earth is fishing more of a tradition than Florida. We can trace our heritage back to many bigger than life legends of the sea, legends, such as the man himself, Captain Wilson Hubbard. [/url" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background: transparent; color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; text-decoration-line: none !important; padding: 0px 3px !important; margin: 0px -3px !important; border-radius: 5px !important;" target="_blank">http://s644.photobucket.com/user/harbisonphoto/media/Where%20Legends%20live%20On/1_zps6zsofsrm.jpg.html'> [/url" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background: transparent; color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; text-decoration-line: none !important; padding: 0px 3px !important; margin: 0px -3px !important; border-radius: 5px !important;" target="_blank">http://s644.photobucket.com/user/harbisonphoto/media/Where%20Legends%20live%20On/3_zpsthrkr8tp.png.html'> Captain Hubbard, a true visionary, was instrumental in the building and development of John's Pass Village, the Boardwalk, as well as the entire Central Florida area. Young Wilson prospered by catching and selling fish from Pass-a-Grille pier, now known as Merry Pier. When he was 17 young Wilson bought five rowboats and forty cane poles for $150.00, and the legend begins. Next, after the war, he bought his first charter boat. In 1954 he established the first gulf coast half-day fishing head boat. In 1956 Captain Wilson began a marathon 18 hour fishing trip for hard-core anglers. In 1971 this man of the sea established overnight weekend trips to the far offshore fishing Grounds. Captain Wilson Hubbard insisted on having only the very best representing, working for, with him. Men like the man who became a legend in his own time, the best of the best, Captain Bobby Buswell began his distinguished career under the leadership of Captain Wilson Hubbard: [/url" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background: transparent; color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; text-decoration-line: none !important; padding: 0px 3px !important; margin: 0px -3px !important; border-radius: 5px !important;" target="_blank">http://s644.photobucket.com/user/harbisonphoto/media/Where%20Legends%20live%20On/5_zpskzyz6qgu.jpg.html'> In 2004, the second generation of the Hubbard family took over ownership of the Marina with Mark Hubbard, Captain Wilson's son, as president and general manager: [/url" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background: transparent; color: rgb(0, 0, 0) !important; text-decoration-line: none !important; padding: 0px 3px !important; margin: 0px -3px !important; border-radius: 5px !important;" target="_blank">http://s644.photobucket.com/user/harbisonphoto/media/Where%20Legends%20live%20On/7_zps8k03tjws.jpg.html'> Next in line, Captain Dylan Hubbard, Captain Mark Hubbard's son: http://s644.photobucket.com/user/harbisonphoto/media/Where%20Legends%20live%20On/8_zpser4lyjnd.jpg.html'>
