    Kayracks Kayak Storage Racks

Looks nice, but pricey. Here is what I used:http://www.homedepot.com/p/compare/?errorURL=ProductAttributeErrorView&langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053&prodComp_0=100194576&prodComp_1=100047306&N=5yc1vZc89l

    Anclote River Park Launching Spots?

Here are some easy to reach spots from the park ramp. They have producing consistently on shrimp.

    discount yak accessories

Native controls prices pretty tightly with the dealers. When I was looking for accessories for my Slayer, the price difference was minimal. That said; Jacksons generally has more inventory on hand followed by Wind & Water in NPR on 19 (if they ever reopen). Osprey Bay will order anything for you and their customer service is unbeatable.

    Nothing to post now.

I guess I am in the gearist camp on this one. I have a Native Slayer Propel, and as a guide pointed out at the ramp, I have options Native hasn't even thought of. Does my abundance of gear make me a better fisherman? No. What it does is increase my comfort and therefore my time on water. That tends to improve my fishing. I think there are as many ways to measure your success on the water as there are members of this forum. I can't quite understand how one person's choice of options on his boat could ever get as contentious as this has been.

How do you pay for your fishing addiction?

Director of Operations for an aerospace defense contractor. Probably enjoyed the daily activity better as a manufacturing manager as I rarely get to play with product these days. Now my work life revolves around meetings to discuss the work of others.

how to catch black drum at bridges?

Fishinboy and I paddled out under the Bay side this AM. Hooked up on about 5, boated 1. We put in from the north end and paddled out to the center, but hooked up pretty much the whole way. Shrimp on a knocker rig. I had better luck with my 7'6" MLXF rigged with 20/20, than I did with my tarpon rig with 50/60.

how to catch black drum at bridges?

I usually move around until I see or hear a tail near a piling. First couple times it was hard, but once you figure it out it will seem simple. I have also seen folks scrape the pilings in order to chum them up.

    Anclote River Fishing

I live there and Timmy is correct. There are fish, but the action has moved to the gulf until fall.Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

    Rod Woes

Like most on here, I agree that you should re-think the 7'. I have been going through the same learning curve over the past 3 years and either have, or have had most of the rods mentioned so far.I have more or less settled on Lew's Speed Sticks:http://www.lews.com/rods-laserlg.htmlShoot me PM and you can come try out those (or any other combo in the quiver) out back as it looks like you are in the Tarpon area.Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

    First attempt 04/13

I believe my stakeout pole is 5', and I have rarely wanted longer. I have a home made milk crate with 6 rod holders and my stakeout rides in there.Any kayak shop can install an anchor trolley, but I am partial to Osprey Bay on Belcher near Gulf to Bay. It is also a dead easy DIY.Check out this link for lots of great project ideas: http://palmettokayakfishing.blogspot.comSent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Welcome aboard! If you work the south side, you can use either the mangroves or shoreline for shelter. Might even find fish in there.
  14. Welcome back, Andy. Your reports have been missed.Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
