  1. Here is a rack I built for around $25 in about 30 min. I built it tall enough I can pull my truck right up to yak with extender and slide rack into truck. When I get home rack folds up carry into yard clean yak in the yard on the rack then dry and back into garage.
  2. Here is a pvc rack I built for $25 very simple and quick to build I used old ratchet strap to hold the top together. With this rack I built it so I can back my truck up to it and slide yak into truck. Rack folds up and moves into yard when I get home to slide yak out of truck to wash yak on rack. Back into truck rack and yak back garage. Little tip i glued and screwed pvc 90s. I also put 3 washer between pvc uprights so it is easier to fold up
  3. Here is a little report. Well let me start saying thanks for your input and advice. We got to Gandy area later than planned could have been a blessing because we were in some of the hardest rains I had seen in a long time when we got down there.we stopped at the bait shop on Gandy water rains were pouring down to get a little cut bait. By the time the storms passed it was 7:30. We put the kayaks in at the end of the Gandy on the north side just before the bridge. We did drive to look for better spots to launch can't really launch out of hula bay. We got to the flats across from hula bay fished some artificial my son caught a little trout we fished the islands. Caught some cats and stingray.tried to get the bait of the bottom and still caught cats.si we moved to the yacht club fished the seawall and lights with no luck. We will fish this area again but gonna get there early to learn a little about it and it's structure and maybe catch some live bait. We fished about 4 hours with paddle time off the water at 12:00. Not a lot of tight lines but got to spend some quality time with my son who starts his first day a college today.
  4. Thanks Lostmans1 really appreciate the info. We will give report after are trip hopefully including pics.
  5. Has anyone fished this area day/night heard it's good at night. Planning a trip with my 18 yr old son tomorrow will be his first saltwater trip in kayak lots of fresh water though. Gonna try to get there late afternoon to fish and get to know the area and Fish into the night. Does anyone have any tips on techniques, bait, artificial, maybe catch are own bait. Maybe even a better spot. We will post a report and hopefully some pics
