Wanted, Upper to Upper-mid tier bay boat.

Recommended Posts

I've sold our Wellcraft and I'm now on the hunt for a nice 2-5 year old Bay Boat from Andros, Panga, Pathfinder, Shearwater, Hydra Sports, Scout, Ranger or something similar. Please PM me with any details you may have. Thanks,Mark

You could get this boat custom built for right around the sae price or cheaper. You should call the shop and talk to them. Why buy used when you can get a new.http://www.pangamarine.com/

Are those Pangas really that cheap? I've always liked them but never looked at new prices.

More Pathfindershttp://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/boa/4054084941.htmlhttp://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/boa/4077117974.htmlhttp://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/bod/4055751540.htmlhttp://sarasota.craigslist.org/boa/4056914726.html (probably not what you're looking for but I really like this one lol)Skeeter (Another brand I don't think you should overlook. I road one of these out at the boat show and they ride just as smooth or maybe better in the chop than Rangers and Champions)http://daytona.craigslist.org/bod/4059994270.html (nice boat, but F***!)http://daytona.craigslist.org/boa/4039282110.htmlhttp://jacksonville.craigslist.org/boa/4029745263.htmlhttp://pensacola.craigslist.org/boa/4087674481.htmlhttp://pensacola.craigslist.org/bod/4016563615.html

I spend quite a bit of time thinking about fishing and looking at boats. Far more time than I am actually able to spend on the water unfortunately. Hope those give a few pointers. Those Shearwaters and Rangers are expensive though. Again, don't overlook Skeeter and Champion Bay boats. They have really thick hulls and an incredibly smooth ride.Congratulations on selling your boat by the way. That was fast!

I would take a look at the Dorados. You may want to make a trip directly to Dorado and talk to them. They at times have older ones for sale.I know several people who run them and are very happy with them.If I had not built my Proline Flat Back, Dorado would of been my first choice.

So now that this has been brought up again, how is the new Pathy doing for you? Excellent choice by the way!

Every time we end up in the skinny-skinny water we say "or old boat would have not gotten close to this spot" You ready to go fishing?

Funny there is not much talk about the Scouts line up' date=' are they not that good? Sure look good.[/quote']Scout was on my short list. They make a well made boat. From what I've seen, Scout is more of luxury brand than a fishing specific brand.

It seems the new line ups for scout are tuned much more for the higher end offshore equivalents. Scout has always made a really good boat, but they bring a pretty high price tag. Well I'm glad the Pathy fits your needs! Perfect all around choice.

I'm in lust with a Young 24 that's stored in the same lot as my flats boat.I pointed it out to the wife recently and simply said "Next Boat". She said "Ok".

Young makes a very nice boat but It's hard to find a used Young and they are pricy.

Agreed. Youngs are sweet! But there is a reason you don't see them up for sale... People buy them to keep them. They also have a good layout and good usable storage and space. It's the same kind of reason you don't see many Yellowfins and Hellsbay boats for sale... Quality!
