Hooked on Wild Water
We have nothing to do with this cool online kayak fishing show, but it's so good we had to share it with you.
We read about these people and their kayak fishing online Web TV show called Hooked on Wild Waters in a newspaper article on the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette. The show - whose creators live in North Carolina - is coming to their part of the country and the beauty of their waters and the ability to let the rest of us see them gave the author good reason to write about it.
The show - on YouTube and available there or within the Hooked on Wild Waters web site - is very cool, very well done, and shows some beautiful water. All done on Kayaks, it gives one a good idea of why these fishing craft are so popular.
From the story on The Gazette:
The crew from “Hooked on Wild Waters,” a web-based show that highlights kayak fishing in various locales, made their way down one of McDonald County main waterways earlier this month.
The episode is set for release near the end of November.
Shawn Cooper, president of the McDonald County Chamber of Commerce, said this episode could benefit the area by promoting it as an ecotourism destination.
It also should be a great opportunity to educate the public about bass — particularly with how long it takes for one to grow and how important it can be to let them go.
“That’s our whole goal — to conserve what we have,” he said.
