Carp Diem

There are great carp populations here in Florida and other southern states that are not targeted. Not so everywhere though.

This is actually a conservation story about a group of carp anglers helping a few troubled carp get into clean water. We love stories like this, and according to our demographics, so do a lot of our readers. These carp are not nearly as cute as a puppy or kitten, but to some of us their just as loving :)

Carpe Diem

From the story on CBC News Montreal:

To some, they're bottom feeders, dull-eyed and slimy.

But to Quebec's Carp Anglers Association, the large and hardy fish are to be respected, not least because their size and shape make them a worthy adversary for catch-and-release fishers.

We will be running a story about the "Golden Ghost" in a few days. It's an old story from our very own Captain Dave - the Patriotic Angler. For the lastest in his outstanding and very popular Podcasts, click here.
