Dry Passes
Dry pass strands Delaware boaters. An interesting story about failed dredging.
We read stories about boating and fishing and general outdoor stuff more than we do other subjects (we actually have other interested besides fishing and hope you do, too). This one comes from a Delaware ABC News station. It is about a pass called Baker's Pass that on low tide is so shallow (18" is shallow???) that most boats cannot make the usual run to get from one common spot to another.
We have some pass issues - like Jupiter Inlet's deady waters - and Hurricane Pass right here in Pinellas County was actually not there before a big storm that hit the area in 1921. Before the storm there was an island and after the storm there were two - with Hurricane Pass in between.
The story is here.
