Going on Ten Decades and Still Fishing
Old is old, wherever you live. This British angler has been fishing going on 100yrs. Impressive man and great story.
We saw this story and thought about ourselves. We've come from a fishy family and fishing and hunting and camping were part of our growing up. Personally I do would sign quick for the 90th birthday this old angler is celebrating. He loves to box, too, but a pacemaker says he cannot join a local boxing club. Last time I checked there are no boxing clubs in my immediately neighborhood - but there sure are largemouth bass and maybe a carp or two.
Mr Harris, who has just celebrated his 90th birthday, was in his time one of the best anglers in Britain, and still loves to fish today.
This lure first came out in 1910. It's a Creek Chub.
Despite his years, the active pensioner from Shrewsbury says life is too short to sit in a chair and grow old. He does a set of exercises every morning, loves to box – but can’t join a club because of his pacemaker – and, of course, still goes fishing.
