Letter to the Editor - Don't Real People Wear Guy Harvey Clothing?
Why can't I see Guy Harvey clothing worn by normal people like me? A letter to the editor of the Bradenton Herald...
We have worked with the great people at Guy Harvey and as a magazine - one with advertisers who want to reach you all so you'll buy stuff from them or send them money to do stuff (like protecting the Everglades, for example, through your support for Captains for Clean Water). But advertisers of apparel in general know that if their models are sexy and great looking, human beings are likely to either click on, or (at the very least) remember the brand in question. You look at Guy Harvey's artwork, and you think creatures that live in the ocean.
We know this guy. We also know what whether or not anybody ever paid him a single bloody pence he would still be drawing and then coloring these undreal fish, turtles, birds, whatever. He's got that gift. Or curse some might say.
But this very brief letter to the editor of the Bradenton Herald (a town just south of where we publish this magazine) really says something about human nature. While we truly understand this guy's position - that it would be nice to see somebody wearing a Harvey short mowing the lawn (we are trashy, personally, so we really do understand)
Here's is the Letter to the Editor on the Herald. It's not fair to read it here - you just have to read it though.
