Temporary unlimited harvest on Colorado lake
Colorado opens State park for unlimited harvest to control the fisheries. A chance to take some delicious table fare!
This is not a long story but it's an interesting one. Not that long ago major droughts - of course blamed on the global climate change (?) - indicated that western fisheries were pretty much doomed. But surprise! The fish are fine. Low water levels (natural low levels) have resulted in too many fish in too little water, so the state is going to allow anglers to take all the (incredibly deliciousa) trout from the water.
It's a temporary lift of harvest limits, and no doubt a lot of fisherman that normally release all the fish they catch will take a few home, but the story is interesting in light of the doomsday stories we've been hearing.
RAMAH, Colo. - Colorado Parks and Wildlife is offering anglers a chance to catch as many fish as they like.
Due to low water levels, CPW is lifting restrictions on the amount of fish that anglers can take home.
