Offshore Wind Farms Raise Environmental Concern

Offshore wind farms are of concern to who? Environmentalists, that's who. You do know they all live by candle, right?

We found this story originally on the East End Beacon, but it's circulating all around newspapers and web sites on the northeastern coast. It's about efforts to establish offshore wind farms to generate the energy needed to light the darkness in the world's most populated modern urban regions.

Wind farms are a problem, you say? Yup. They're a problem to some people. Others - like the company whose image we used for this story - feel that producing it offers mankind a solid and sustainable (and offshore) way to light our desks and charge our smart phones.

They are called OffshoreWind.biz.

The story in its entirety is here. It's really worth reading. We have to think the Gulf of Mexico would be a really really good place to generate free and clean energy. But what do we know?
