Hawaii's commercial fleet comes under fire after an AP study shows the level of foreign anglers pulling resources.
We found this story on the Virginia Pilot online, and it is a good take on a story about an AP Investigation into commercial fishing in Hawaii. Foreign boats are all over the Gulf of Mexico, and we would wager that if the AP considered living conditions on boats here - the ones with sharks hanging dead from the next all day to keep them from swinging in the wind and waking up the (daylight) sleeping crews) - to be just as bad if not worse then what they're finding in the beautiful blue waters of Hawaii and Pacific. It just might be more fun and (?) prettier to look there.
It seems that the AP study showed conditions on many of the foreign boats fishing waters around the island state are inhuman. The AP story is here.
